[FR] Erin McKeown est une multi-instrumentiste, chanteuse, compositeur américaine originaire de Virginie. Peu connue en Europe, elle sort pourtant son cinquième album, Sing Your Sinners, une collection de standards du jazz à sa propre sauce.

“Paper Moon” est une reprise de la chanson “It’s Only a Paper Moon” publiée pour la première fois en 1933. Elle a entre autres été interprétée par la grande Ella Fitzgerald en 1938. Elle est ici modernisée, son rythme ragga lui apportant une touche plus caribéenne.

[EN] Erin McKeown is an American multi-instrumentist, singer/songwriter coming from Fredricksburg, Virginia. Rather unknown in Europe, she nevertheless releases her fifth album, Sing Your Sinners, a collection of jazz standards covered in her own way.

“Paper Moon”, originally known as “It’s Only a Paper Moon”, was published for the very first time in 1933 and have been interpreted by the great Ella Fitzgerald in 1938. Erin McKeown here modernizes the song bringing to it a Caribbean feel with this ragga rhythm.
