[FR] L’année dernière, Justice c’était “We Are Your Friends”, un remix de Simian. Ils ont à présent pour ambition d’installer leur statut de nouveaux représentants de la french touch. Leur label Ed Banger Records est d’ailleurs plutôt bien placé pour prétendre à ce renouveau, puisqu’il est dirigé par Pedro Winter, le manager de Daft Punk.
Leur premier album †, qui doit sortir à la mi-juin, est un mix de samples, de breaks avec un son compressé dans le plus pur style Daft Punk. “D.A.N.C.E.” est le premier single de cet album. Rien de nouveau sous le soleil, mais un titre pop et sympathique, dancefloor à souhait, pour un son tout ce qu’il y a de plus hype. Reste au groupe à prouver qu’il est plus qu’un sous Dafts.

Justice are back and this time as the representatives of the new french touch, as they are signed on Ed Banger Records, the new label of Daft Punk‘s manager Pedro Winter. Justice is a balance in which you have on one side the funk and in the other side the electro.
Their forthcomping album †is a mix of interferences and cut samples produced on the modelling clay style of Daft Punk. D.A.N.C.E. is actually their new single. No invention here, but a rather fresh sound that clearly identifies itself with the actual hype.

Justice vuelven y ésta vez como máximo representante de la nueva french touch: Ed Banger Records, el famoso sello dirigido por el manager de Daft Punk. (por cierto hay que hacer referencia al excelente soporte visual del sello, tanto en lo gráfico como en la animación). Asi que hagamos justicia y pongamos en la balanza de un lado el funk y del otro el electro.
Apunto de caramelo para su primer larga duracion, †, un batiburrillo de interferencias y cortes sampleados producidos al más puro estilo plastilina de Daft Punk, nos lo anticipan con este D.A.N.C.E. todo un hit rompepistas. (Las voces pueden recordar sin reparo alguno a Tahiti 80).

Le réaliateur du clip de shitdisco est James Price, qui a aussi signé les vidéos de Pleasurewood Kills des Lost Penguins et It’s The Beat de Simian Disco Mobile. Eux aussi très étranges.
Pour être précis, We are you friends était un morceau de Simian, alors groupe de rock de 4 personnes. Simiane Disco Mobile est issu du split off du groupe, avec 2 allumés seulement. Et c’est pas plus mal ;)

well, i never liked electronic music until i listened to justice. they opened my ears to the world of synthesizers and colorful audiovisual experiences.
At this moment, the cross album is not as addictive as the Waters of Nazareth, which is more raw, aggressive and to the point. I start to wonder if it’s not because it was an EP, ergo less, but better songs.
Digressing a bit on that, I had the same impression with Tokyo Police Club last year.
Le remix de D.A.N.C.E. par Mstrcrft est vraiment excellent, d’ailleurs personnellement je l’aime beaucoup plus que le mix original.
