Epitaph, King Crimson (1969)

[FR] King Crimson est une formation de rock progressif considéré comme LE groupe qui créa le genre. Affirmation à débattre avec les puristes qui ont lancé une véritable discussion pour le départager de Pink Floyd, autre groupe mythique et son grand rival. Leur premier album, In the Court of the Crimson King, sorti en 1969, est reconnu comme le manifeste du rock progressif. King Crimson a été fondé par Robert Fripp et donne suite la même année à la production de l’album éponyme.

In the court Of the Crimson King est une véritable révolution sonore, quelques semaines après les premiers pas de l’homme sur la Lune, Robert Fripp (guitare), Ian Mc Donald (mellotron, claviers, voix), Greg Lake (basse, chant), Micheal Giles (batterie, percussions, voix) et le poète Peter Sinfield élaborent un opéra rock cosmique mellant les styles, les tonalités et les rythmes, notamment grâce aux multiples possibilités offertes par le mellotron qui donne accès à différentes mélodies.

[EN] King Crimson is a progressive rock band considered as THE creator of the genre. Assertion to be discussed with the specialists who opened a passionate debate to decide between them and another famous band Pink Floyd. Their first album, In the Court of the Crimson King, released in 1969, is known as the manifesto of progressive rock. King Crimson was created by Robert Fripp and the same year came the eponymous album.

In the court Of the Crimson King is an acoustic revolution, few weeks after the first steps on the Moon, Robert Fripp (guitar), Ian Mc Donald (mellotron, keybords, background vocals), Greg Lake (bass, lead vocals), Micheal Giles (drums, percussions, background vocals) and the poet Peter Sinfield developed a cosmic opera rock melting styles, tones and rhythms, thanks to the several possibilities offered by the mellotron with different levels of melodies.
