→ This week! One more brand new head-nodding killer by Australian Surprise Chef! French-American duo Pearl & The Oysters releases a new single on Californian label Stones Throw, and a new beautiful track out from the previous LP "Estrela Acesa" by Brazilian singer-songwriter Sessa. Looking back at Wildcookie's classic "Cookie Dough" LP from 2011 with "Serious Drug" (thanks @djamelk!) and very own British Virgin Islands native singer Jon Lucien's classic "Creole Lady" from his 1975 album Song For My Lady.

→ Kicking off this week's Heavy Rotation with the new Nicolini EP (another project from Amsterdam based Nic Mauskovic of Mauskovic Dance Band fame), a new colab between British Ghanaian producer Juls and South African singer S.O.N for some classy amapiano vibes, new single "Changes" from Australian Harvey Sutherland. The brilliant 2018 LP from Swiss jazz band L'éclair is getting a repress on Bongo Joe, heading to Jamaica to wrap it up with a beautiful rocksteady cover of William DeVaughn's classic "Be Thankful"!

→ Focusing on some classic US hip-hop this week, with the passing of De La Soul's founding member David Jolicoeur aka Trugoy. We're paying tribute with their classic "Ego Trippin' (Part Two)". RIP Trugoy. Also looking back at O.C's 1994 album Word...Life and an afrobeats and jazz cover of The Beatnut's "Watch Out Now" by mysterious band Heroes Of Limbo. From New York, heading South to Cuba with the new LP by Parisian collective Àbájade (playing Studio de l'Ermitage in Paris this Friday!) and Brazil with Rogê's new single and future MPB classic "Existe Uma Voz".

→ Soul jazz vibes this week, kicking with British singer Yazmin Lacey's first single from her upcoming album "Voice Notes", followed by Eddie Chacon's (from the 90's duo Charles & Eddie) new single from his second come back LP "Sundown", recorded in Ibiza together with producer John Carroll Kirby, out in March on LA-based label Stones Throw. Australia's cinematic soul weapon Surprise Chef nailed it again with "Pash Rash"... Also revisiting portorican bass player Bobby Valentin's classic "Yo" on Fania Records as well as West Coast soul singer Carrie Cleveland's mesmerizing "Love Will Set You Free" on British re-issued label Kalita Records.
