Paris-based Mab'ish brings in Galawesh for “Until everybody’s free”, built around Fannie Lou Hamer’s enduring call. South African maverick Spoek Mathambo releases a new cut "Pass the Salad" on his own Teka Records imprint. Back to 1983 for Gwen Guthrie’s “Seventh Heaven”, from the album "Portrait" with all that Sly & Robbie magic. Wrapping it up with Jean Carn’s 1977 disco single “Free Love” - pure Philly soul! New single “Podjab” from Montreal-born, Lisbon-based Haitian-Canadian producer, singer and DJ Gayance, featuring Montreal artist Waahli and co-produced with Dutch-Surinamese producer and DJ Jarreau Vandal, with influences from old-school Haitian kompa and mizik rasin. Photay returns on remix duties with this beautifully produced version of “Loango Weaver” by Les Mamans du Congo and Rrobin. Back to kompa with Juls’ rework of Congolese singer Papa Wemba’s “Show Me the Way”. Keeping it in the French Caribbean with Claudy Siar’s zouk gem “Moune paradis”, originally released in 1992 and featured on the new compilation *Déclic, Kaz A Zouk: Zouk – Créole Rap & Ragga – Kompa – Gwo Ka Modern (1987–1998)*, dedicated to the wonderfully eclectic catalogue of the Déclic label, curated by Emile Omar. Wrapping up the week with Diana Ross’s reggae-tinged “I Am Me”, from her 1982 album *Silk Electric*. Enjoy!





→ After a little hiatus... This week! French producer iZem and Ghanian singer K.O.G are back collaborating together on "Dreaming"! Their 2018 single "Change" still sounding great too! London based afro jazz collective Kokoroko invited Brazilian singer Luedji Luna for a remix of "Never Lost" from their lastest album - out on Brownswood. Lisbon born, Paris based NegoO delivers a new LP O Preço da Glória with the fresh jazzy batida eponymous track. Listening back to the 2011 incredible cover of Chantal Curtis's "Get Another Love" by Lafayette Afro Rock Band. That drum machine is such a fun addition... Wrapping it up this week, travelling to Guinea-Bissau, with the unique voice of Dulce Neves on "Nubdade da terra" thanks to Hot Casa Records releasing her 2007 hits on vinyl. Enjoy!





→ This week! Amsterdam-based Turkish band Altin Gün is back with their fifth album Garip out next February, and a first track "Neredesin Sen" already out! Colombian artist Jimena Angel teams up with French multi-instrumentist, producer, Bruno Patchworks (Voilaaaa) on her new album Aguacero and the great dubby latin reggae track "Tierra Caliente", out on Partyfine. French pianist Florian Pellissier is back with the beautiful LP Pacifiques Bitches, including the funky "The Movie Critic" out on Hot Casa Records. Heading for an island hopping trip, to Guadaloupe first, with "Serrana" (heavy, heavy rotation!) by Super Combo de Pointe-Noire, out on the great compilation Dolores - Salsa & Guaracha from 70's French West Indies curated by Nico Skliris on Born Bad Records. Wrapping it up this week, with "Minino Qui Naci Onti" by Pedro Ramos and Jacinta Sanches, a reggae track from Cabo Verde, re-released by Italian label Arabusta Records. Enjoy!





→ This week! Stella & the Longos is back with its distinctive and appealing grooves on a new upcoming LP called Amour Propre, featuring the afrobeat track "En Retard". New rising Germany-based Turkish artist Peki Momés released her first intriguing new eponymous LP including the track "Yaşlı Dünya". London-based house producer Ossie released a new EP with the dancefloor bouncy "Clay Clay"! Listening back to some classic soul with British band Cymande, "Getting It Back" on their 1972 eponymous LP, as well as Bobby Womack's cover of "California Dreamin'" on their 1969 Fly Me To Me Moon LP.
