→ This week! Amsterdam-based Turkish band Altin Gün is back with their fifth album Garip out next February, and a first track "Neredesin Sen" already out! Colombian artist Jimena Angel teams up with French multi-instrumentist, producer, Bruno Patchworks (Voilaaaa) on her new album Aguacero and the great dubby latin reggae track "Tierra Caliente", out on Partyfine. French pianist Florian Pellissier is back with the beautiful LP Pacifiques Bitches, including the funky "The Movie Critic" out on Hot Casa Records. Heading for an island hopping trip, to Guadaloupe first, with "Serrana" (heavy, heavy rotation!) by Super Combo de Pointe-Noire, out on the great compilation Dolores - Salsa & Guaracha from 70's French West Indies curated by Nico Skliris on Born Bad Records. Wrapping it up this week, with "Minino Qui Naci Onti" by Pedro Ramos and Jacinta Sanches, a reggae track from Cabo Verde, re-released by Italian label Arabusta Records. Enjoy!

→ This week! Stella & the Longos is back with its distinctive and appealing grooves on a new upcoming LP called Amour Propre, featuring the afrobeat track "En Retard". New rising Germany-based Turkish artist Peki Momés released her first intriguing new eponymous LP including the track "Yaşlı Dünya". London-based house producer Ossie released a new EP with the dancefloor bouncy "Clay Clay"! Listening back to some classic soul with British band Cymande, "Getting It Back" on their 1972 eponymous LP, as well as Bobby Womack's cover of "California Dreamin'" on their 1969 Fly Me To Me Moon LP. → This week! House maestro Osunlade remixes Roy Ayers's "Brand New Feeling" for BBE, highlighting the amazing vocals of Merry Clayton and Sylvia Cox. London based producer IZCO and rapper Reek0 team up again for their new soulful single "Guiding Star" out on Brownswood. Out on Coco Maria's first release on her own label Club Coco, New Dimensions in Latin Music featuring the jazzy, percussions heavy "Ricky Ricardo" from Brooklyn based project La China de la Gasolina. Keeping it in New York, with the latin funk "Condiciones Que Existen" by latin piano master Eddie Palmieri on his 1972 LP Sentido, out on the great Harvey Averne's Coco Records - it's a coco week! Wrapping this week up in Brazil's Nordeste with some baiâo music with Ary Lobo's "Movimento Da Cidade" from his eponymous 1962 LP on RCA Victor. Lot's of coco going on this week! Enjoy!

→ This week! Rising Brazilian singer, songwriter Valentim Frateschi releases first LP ESTREITO including the ethereal and funky "Falando Nisso" which also features vocalist Nina Maia. Also based in São Paulo, Sessa is back with a third LP Pequena Vertigem de Amor out in a few days! Already loving that laid-back "Nome de Deus". NYC based trio Say She She has returned with third album Cut & Rewind with the perfect NYC flavored "Shop Boy" (no-wave meets disco meets hip-hop). Already reminiscing the "Summer Fun" with Ohio based duo McNeal & Niles on their 1979 LP Thrust. Wrapping-up the week with another 70's Midwest band, The Deltas, on a more funky note, with the 1977 "Do The Spank", recently re-issued by the one and only Numero Group label. Enjoy!

→ This week! New LP by El Michels Affair, the band of NY soul-funk master Leon Michels, 24 Hours Sport, features two of our recent favorite artists, Brazilian Rogê, and Ghanaian Florence Adooni on the funky "Say Goodbye". Afro-soul-jazz UK band Kokoroko released the new LP Tuff Times Never Last on Brownswood, with the laid-back, soulful "Da Du Dah"! New single "Elevator (Is Broken)" by Addison Groove on the breaks side of things! Travelling back in time to Brazil, with the beautiful "Lindo" by Wanderléa, back in 1978, and a tribute to the Wizard (O Bruxo), vizionary multi-instrumentalist and composer Hermeto Pascoal, who passed away last month. Here's the track "Bebê" from the A Música Livre De Hermeto Pascoal LP released back in 1973. Enjoy!
